I’m a fan of technology companies like people are fans of sports teams. No matter what happens in a season, I’ll still like my team. If a rival team has a better season (puts out a slightly improved product) I’m still going to use and prefer my favorite company. I’m pretty sure there’s not a lot that some companies can do to win my vote. I’m also pretty sure I’m a minority in this thought.

Sure, the other team might do really well one season, have some great plays, and maybe even win the championship, but my team still has my support and I’d rather go see them loose than be a fair weather fan.
