Here are all the songs I have that I consider to be great first tracks (click for larger view).

Now, of those 39 songs, which are my Top 10? From 1st to 10th, let’s go!

1. Medication by Damien Jurado
2. Out on the Weekend by Neil Young
3. The President’s Dead by Okkervil River
4. My Name is Jonas by Weezer
5. The Man Comes Around by Johnny Cash
6. Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
7. Sperm Ridden Burden by Roadside Monument
8. Pink Moon by Nick Drake
9. Two of Us by The Beatles
10. Round Hear by Counting Crows

Yes, I did put a U2 song on there. Even though I may not like them, this song is a perfect example of what a strong first track can do for a band.
