vh1 has turned into a station i can watch, or i have turned into a person who can watch vh1

yesterday, as i was sick, sitting in my parents dark room watching the only working tv in the house, i watched vh1 count down the top 90 videos of the 90’s, 19 of which i really enjoy. number one, before they announced it, as always my dad and i tried to guess what it was, i don’t remember what he said, but when i told him mine was “smells like teen spirit” he said “no, it’s a good video, but i don’t know about it being the best” cut to commercial, sell a few hair products, “and we’re back, counting down the best videos of the 90’s, let’s do a recap. . . and now, the best video. . . ” as the first few chords were played, i looked at my dad and said, told ya. it’s a fun game, i win when we’re watching vh1, he wins when we’re watching jeopardy. funny thing about the tv we were watching though, my parents bought it before i was born, so it’s 21 years old, the tv that just went out yesterday morning was only 10 years old. so now, we’re back to knobs to change and slider to adjust the volume. remote still works for the vcr.
