Wygle Wide Web

A quiet field journal of digital archaeology. Reconstructing a life from 25+ years of digital traces, with occasional help from ChatGPT when things get weird or surprising.

as you may or may not know

i am a punk, a rocker, or any of those terms that associates me with independently run music. but i am also a music lover of all types. i don’t like madonna, but i am upset because i missed her “aired once only” video by 5 minutes tonight. but what are ya supposed to do.

two posts in one

the picture at the bottom of the page was taken by a guy sitting in front of me at the recent pedro show. i have never met the guy before that, but he seems nice. out of the blue, he tells me about his girlfriend dumping him. he gave me no background, no story, nothing to help my view. then he asks me for advice. so i tell him stuff about my thoughts on break ups, not trying to get over, not trying to move on, just go do stuff that keeps your mind off of things. he vented it, which is very healthy, on his own blog. it’s the first one for him, but he seems like a good writer. steve, if you need music to listen to, here’s a small list.
  1. i think it’s going to rain today by neil diamond
  2. in the summer’s when you really know by jets to brazil
  3. bad dairy days by pedro the lion
  4. song about an angel by sunny day real estate
  5. dry the rain by the beta band
  6. honesty by billy joel
i don’t know what, if any, of those songs you know, but check as many out as you can. you’ve got my email, be merry, buddy.
