the people at mtv don’t like the ‘pop’ movement. proof: a weekend of rock. my thought goes like this, if they show enough rock bands (no doubt, p.o.d., smashing pumpkins, marilyn manson, limp bizkit, etc.) saying how awful pop music is, then kids will stop requesting groups like backstreet and n’sync. i don’t know how deep this conspiracy goes, but i hope it goes all the way.

i just got done watching a show about the last twenty years of rock on mtv, very good show. they kept showing people saying things about sucky music and horrible bands and all that. now, i don’t know what the future holds, but i think that rock will always stay around.
