slow saturday night, new girl (as always) set to
possibly meet me after work at 11:30, no show. recent, and much better, girl called and got a message that she is not accepting calls, the automated fellow informed me it was from everyone, but i know that automatons lie. as i’m driving home, i’m resilient, and i decided that i’m not going to let it bug me, but still it’s there and just sitting. i get home, in hopes of maybe a pleasant message or email or phone call or something. you have one new email. when the window opens up it’s and old girl (not age) and she informs me that “As a matter of fact I am in r_____ right now at d____’s house and we were expecting you to be here too! where are you?” and “d____ may come up [to seattle] so we can take you out for your birthday.” so this is all good news. she gave me her new phone number. in light of the two first rejections (or what you want to call them) the last, even if it’s a
huge stretch, is reassuring. at least i have old friends.
