i’m sitting in my room, making a tape for jen (the show-girl) with mostly ‘punk’ stuff, you know; clash, ramones, no use for a name, etc. (i also have some of the best “non-punk” punk, ie the cure, devo, weezer, jet’s to brazil.) it’s the third time i’ve made this tape. the first tape consisted of a bit of everything from my arsenal, but it got too complicated for a first tape. tape the second is exactly the same as number three, except i forgot to rewind tape one before making two, so song one starts in the middle of tape one’s first song (the tourist). i have my phone set to receive a phone call from her, but it’s not happening. i think i’ll make a copy of this tape for myself. i included a function that makes it hard for her to know the song unless i am with her, i didn’t give a track listing.
