i got an invitation to amy’s wedding today. first one mine, first one gone. i’ve heard she was getting married, it was never a big deal, i guess i just needed concrete proof that those words were true. i knew that the day would come when one of my few ex’s would tie the knot. deep inside i knew it’d be her first. she’s the one i wrote about in another shot at a few sentences. maybe the harm isn’t that she didn’t choose me, maybe it’s facing the fact that someone i know and love, and, up until a year and a half ago, knew very well is leaving the view i have of her. (even though we broke up 4 or 5 years ago, we stayed close.) this is a new feeling. i know how to deal with a break up. i know how to deal with rejection. but how do i deal with accepting my growing? i know that it’ll be hard, but soon enough i will get it. that leaves liz, becca, and second amy.
