a change to the old

i read an interview with damien jurado recently where he talked about going more folk, more acoustic. yet saturday i saw him in seattle and it was rock, electric. it was great, he played about 7 or 8 songs i knew, including, as requested from the back a sex pistols song. yes, damien played anarchy in the uk and he did it with style. he played at least one song from his three albums, plus some from other places that i don’t know. it was a good show. watching suffering and the hideous thieves play was a good thing. a nice departure from raft of dead monkeys and somewhat of a good direction to go after ninety pound wuss. i only wish i had my recorder with me so i could bootleg. maybe next time.
