i once read an interview with the murder city devils, while their music is good, there was a line in the interview that blew the lid off their writing and music.

this touched me. as a guy with no musical ability what-so-ever (i can’t even figure out the ukulele my mom gave me for christmas), i knew what he was saying. music has a way of ripping you inside out, and calling you names that you enjoy hearing. sitting in my room, headphones on, the world spins at thirty-three and one thirds revolutions per minute. i run home from work, put on my latest find and immerse myself in the current sounds of rock, or the older sounds of rock. thank you mister plastic.
