how with the times i am

this afternoon as i sat alone enjoying the mindless flashes from my television, i had a thought. ‘dressy scarfs aren’t good for guys.’ some are good. as long as it’s mainly to serve a purpose. but those scarfs that are decorative aren’t good for guys. this is my thought. as a ‘punk’ i am not supposed to like gap. and i don’t. but my thoughts preceded the punk vs. gap fight. as the tube kept me entertained and numb i noticed a few hours later a series of commercials brought to us by gap. the guys were wearing pretty scarfs with stripes and five different colors and designs. wow. i was one step ahead. i am truly punk now. my dislike for gap is not held up by the ‘it’s the gap‘ argument anymore. now i have substantial proof that my dislike for gap has nothing to do with punk. i didn’t know that this holiday season scarfs had been proclaimed ‘in’ for guys. but my thought stood on it’s own. it’s funny what you find validation in.
