i remember the first time i heard the term ‘scald’. a kid had given his dog a bath and killed it with too hot of water. the kid lived in east portland. only about ten or so. i remember thinking about the parents. are they going to buy him a new dog or was that his only one? probably a new dog. maybe a bigger one that johnny can’t pick up.

mall people are the greatest people in the world. everyone going somewhere else. the other end perhaps. dressed, not fancy, but up. set to meet anyone at any given time. stopping of for a minute to enjoy usa subs or cool temptations or a bombay wala. sample out authentic cajun food made by authentic cajun (maybe asian) people. something for everyone.
