shouting over linguini

last night we went to the montage. for those of us in portland, it’s known. the food was good. the company was un-hearable. the music was loud. i did, although, have an easy time listening to the guy sitting next to me. whom i have never met. and wasn’t even with our group. he talked from the time i sat down, to the time we left. the girl he was with just sat and listened. she didn’t have a chance to say more than three sentences. he would be good with the girl from she tells seven word stories. he talked of God. of Time. of his Profs. none of which were definitive. he knows there has to be a God. but God is beyond our comprehension and can’t be described as having morals and whatnot. covered that base. i feel sorry for the girl.
